On June 10th 2023, Johanna gave a talk about How To Write Compelling Short Stories to a room full of engaged and lovely writers at the Clevedon Literary Festival.
Her talk included hints on how to write a killer opening line, how to get the ‘crap first draft’ finished and how to edit with the help of feedback from others. She also read an extract from her prize-winning short story OldFish and answered the audience’s questions.
Johanna loved the experience and is looking forward to attending the festival again next year.
